Photo requirements

File types and sizes we accept, and why your photos must match your description.

Last updated 11 August 2026

Good photos are the single biggest reason a listing gets enquiries — and the most common reason a listing is rejected.

Technical requirements

  • Formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP or GIF
  • Up to 10 photos per listing, 5 MB each
  • The first photo becomes the cover image shown in search results

Your photos must match your description

If your description mentions three bedrooms, a boundary wall or a swimming pool, your photos should show them. We compare the two, and a listing whose photos do not support its claims will be sent back.

What we reject

  • Stock or catalogue images, or photos taken from another website or listing
  • Photos of a different property than the one advertised
  • Screenshots, heavily edited images, or pictures with phone numbers or watermarks added
  • Anything that is not a photo of the property

Tips

  • Shoot in daylight, landscape orientation
  • Include the exterior, each main room, the kitchen and the bathroom
  • Do not include people or number plates
